This hook action provides a more secure and rattle-resistant lock compared to straight bolt designs — making it specifically effective for sliding doors where a conventional latch lock cannot function correctly.

The concealed mortise installation means the lock body is recessed into the door edge, sitting completely flush within the door panel when installed.
