Hafele Free Space is a premium stay flap fitting designed for kitchen top cabinet and overhead cabinet door applications across Malaysia.

As a stay flap system, the hafele Free Space supports the weight of a flip-up or fold-up cabinet door as it opens and holds it in the open position without the user having to manually prop it. This makes overhead kitchen cabinet access safer and more convenient — particularly for upper cabinets installed at height in Malaysian kitchens where reaching in while holding a heavy door open would otherwise be a problem.

The hafele Free Space is designed for standard stay flap applications with a front cabinet height of up to 650mm. It supports two opening angle options — 90 degrees and 107 degrees — giving installers and cabinet makers flexibility to configure the door opening position to suit the specific cabinet and ceiling height clearance of each kitchen installation across Malaysia.

This product is available in five load capacity models to match different cabinet door weights. Model B supports 1 to 2kg, Model C supports 1.7 to 3.2kg, Model D supports 2.9 to 4.5kg, Model E supports 4.1 to 6.6kg, and Model F supports 6.0 to 8.6kg. The correct model must be selected based on the actual weight of the cabinet door being fitted, with a maximum supported weight of 8.6kg across the full range.
